Job Description

Back Market is seeking for an entrepreneurial, results-oriented Business Developer to approach and onboard the main high-tech products brands and retailers on the refurbished business. Already with a strong track-record (Apple, Dyson, Devialet, …), you will work closely with the Head of New Business to build the Business Case and sign many more premium brands and retailer.
This unique position will entail strategic responsibility, convincing C-level executives in France and Europe that Back Market will be their best distribution channel for their refurbished products. You will also aim at increasing the global supply and GMV of Back Market.

Your duties will include:

  • Identify and map the French key players for this business strategy and assess their potential
  • Define the operational strategy to approach the identified leads in an effective way to obtain the best ROI while working with internal stakeholders to bring the maximum success to these partnerships
  • Approach, negotiate and onboard brands and retailers and develop long-term strategies to ensure the best relationship with them
  • Execute plans built with other departments to ensure the best personalized experience to this specific business profile
  • Contribute to the global sales strategy of Back Market, building a successful case to be replicated in other markets

Preferred Experience

  • You are a real hunter with a strong business sense and excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in sales with proven track record of success with complex, C-level negotiations
  • You have a strong interest for the online and e-commerce environment – ideally, you have a previous experience in a related field
  • Passionate about growth and eager to learn, you are familiar with the start-up environment and working in a demanding change-oriented environment
  • You are an analytical thinker who can make data-driven decisions
  • English is a no-brainer
  • You have a Bac +5 background
