YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT) 🥇Partner with the HR team to help design the best recruitment and HR strategy in the Tokyo offices to ensure the highest Japanese performances.Working with the Head of Design; adapt and design the Back Market Japanese product to the Japanese standardsSupport the Supply team during negotiation with Japanese key players, to build a strong local Supply;Define ambitious targets for Japan in partnership with the business teams (e.g. selection, inventory, pricing, payment methods, traffic, GMV)Lead the Japan Weekly Performance Review and conduct the operational monitoring of business results; Communicate at the company level on the Japanese market performance; Identify key improvements & blocking points for target completion, design solution hand-in-hand with other Business and Product teams and monitor their implementation and adoption;Benchmark competition to find growth opportunities, and be a key member of the roadmap design and prioritization with the Project teams;Be the Back Market spokesperson in Japan: press, events..etc
YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF YOU: ⭐You have a minimum 10-years’ experience, including at least 7 years in the e-commerce industry with strong achievements at leading expansion projects;You have held an executive position in a Japanese retail company, ideally on a marketplace business model;You have a past experience in a best-in-class US or European tech company;You have a strong Japanese network to leverage to speed Back Market growth in Japan;You have a strong understanding of the refurbished electronics business environment, and what’s needed to lead Back Market to success in Japan;You have excellent business sense & negotiations skills - you can support the Sales team in negotiating with Japanese key players;Communication skills, and ability to create team dynamics with people you don’t have any hierarchical link with.
