Launched in 2016, Spain is a Strategic Country with skyrocketing growth, and is one of Back Market’s largest EU countries.
Reporting to the Head of Country and Category Performance, you will be responsible for the spanish GMV growth and you will coordinate all Spain related workstreams to achieve our aggressive targets.
Embodying the Spain market at Back Market, you will be in charge of developing the strategy and establishing Back Market as the #1 channel for refurbished in Spain. You will establish targets and monitor their completion by working hand-in-hand with the Business and Product teams. You will also be in charge of establishing the brand by driving the communication strategy and the PR in Spain.
YOUR MISSION IF YOU ACCEPT IT:Open the Back Market legal entity in Spain, alongside the Back Market offices in Barcelona; Hire top talents to support Spain and Back Market global growth Define ambitious targets for Spain in partnership with the business teams (e.g. # listings, inventory, pricing, payment methods, qualified traffic, GMV);Lead the Spain Business Performance Reviews and conduct the operational monitoring of business results; communicate at the company level on the Spain market performance;Identify key improvements & blocking points for target completion, design solution hand-in-hand with other Business and Product teams and monitor their implementation and adoption;Benchmark competition to find growth opportunities, and be a key member of the roadmap design and prioritization with the Project teams;Be the Back Market spokesperson in Spain (press, events) and contribute to the Brand campaigns elaboration Support the Supply team during negotiation with spanish key players, to recruit new sellers and grow existing ones.
YOU ARE AT THE RIGHT PLACE IF:Required : You have a minimum of 10-years experience, including at least 7 years in the e-commerce industry with a strong track record at leading ecommerce projects. You have a strong understanding of the refurbished electronics business environment, and what’s needed to lead Back Market to success in Spain;You have an excellent business sense & negotiations skills - you can support the Sales team in negotiating with spanish key players;You have communication skills and an unmatched ability to create team dynamics with people you don’t have any hierarchical link with.Desired : You have an experience as a VP or Director in an e-commerce or marketplace, and possibly retail;You have a strong spanish network to leverage to speed Back Market growth in Spain
