Launched in 2020, the UK is a Strategic Country with skyrocketing growth, and is poised to become one of Back Market’s largest countries.
Reporting to the Head of Country and Category Performance, you will be responsible for the UK GMV growth and will coordinate all UK related workstreams to achieve our aggressive targets.
Embodying the UK market at Back Market, you will be in charge of developing the strategy and establishing BM as the #1 channel for refurbished in the UK. You will establish targets (traffic, CVR, engagement, inventory, pricing, quality, care...) and monitor their completion by working hand-in-hand with the Business and Product teams. You will also be in charge of establishing the brand by driving the communication strategy and the PR in the UK.
YOUR MISSION IF YOU ACCEPT IT:Open the Back Market legal entity in the UK, alongside the Back Market offices in London; Hire top talent to support the UK, out of the new UK offices;Define ambitious targets for UK in partnership with the business teams (e.g. # listings, inventory level, pricing sharpness, payment methods, qualified traffic, GMV);Lead the UK Business Performance Reviews and conduct the operational monitoring of business results; Communicate at the company level on the UK market performance;Identify key improvements & blocking points for target completion, design solution hand-in-hand with other Business and Product teams and monitor their implementation and adoption;Benchmark competition to find growth opportunities, and be a key member of the roadmap design and prioritization with the Project teams;Be the Back Market spokesperson in the UK: press, events, ...Support the Supply team during negotiation with UK key players, to recruit new sellers and grow existing ones.
YOU ARE AT THE RIGHT PLACE IF:Required : You have a minimum of 10-years experience, including at least 7 years in the e-commerce industry with a strong track record at leading ecommerce projects. You have a strong understanding of the refurbished electronics business environment, and what’s needed to lead Back Market to success in the UK;You have excellent business sense & negotiations skills - you can support the Sales team in negotiating with UK key players;You have communication skills and an unmatched ability to create team dynamics with people you don’t have any hierarchical link with.Desired : You have an experience as a VP or Director in an e-commerce or marketplace, and possibly retail;You have a strong UK network to leverage to speed Back Market growth in the UK.
