Looking at the development of our activity, we need a Head of Tax to support us.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of BackMarket, the Head of Tax Group develops a global tax policy for the company in order to minimize tax risks, respond to reporting and control issues, draft procedures and understand regulatory changes while maintaining a strong operational bias. In an exciting context of hyper-growth and geographic conquest, you will manage to combine day-to-day operational issues as well as the implementation of a sound and coherent tax strategy for Back Market.
Your Mission If You Accept It:
Monitor of day-to-day operational tax matters, and first and foremost: Monitor the application of VAT rules Monitor the application of Sales Tax rules in the US Raise awarness among operational teams to tax issues in the context of their activity Document Group tax procedures Control invoicing rules Define and implement the transfer pricing policy, as well as all the obligations related to this issueManagement of cross-border intra-group flows Follow the various declarations in connection with the accounting services in charge (VAT, IS, etc.) Monitor the implementation and proper application of local tax rules, on the various entities of the Group Create and coordinate a Group Tax Planning, in close collaboration with the accounting and control teamsSupport tax structuring linked to the international development of Back Market Act as a coordinator and support role in case of auditCoordination of the various group tax audits within the French and in our subsidiaries Support for various non-tax audits (customs, URSSAF) Active French and international tax watch, communication of relevant information internally and anticipation of impacts related to changes in tax regulationsYou're At The Right Place If:
You have 7+ years of experience as a tax expert, ideally within the ecommerce/markeplace industry or as a lawyer in a top notch firm You are fluent in English, French is definitely a plusYou are very familiar with tax issues related to e-commerceYou are agile, pragmatic and solution orientedYou have a great sense of rigor and organization You are very sensitive to operational and business issues in a context of strong international developmentYou have the capacity and the will to lead projects in a fast-paced environmentRecruitment Process:
