Back Market, already present in the US and the EU, is the leader in the refurbished electronics and appliances market segment. With an $80bn market segment size and growing fast, the refurbished electronics and appliances market segments represent a huge growth opportunity for Back Market. And we’re only getting started as there are still 8 times more products sold as new than refurbished today. In 2020 Back Market launched 3 new EU countries with plans to launch more in 2020 and 2021.

Job Description

A key lever to achieve this, is to offer extended warranties and breakage insurance to customers, removing a barrier to buy refurbished products. We expect to manage more than 300 000 new contracts (full year) by the end of 2021 in our core countries.

Within the Operations team in the quality Business unit, you will directly report to our head of Quality Services.

Your Mission If You Accept It:

We launched in February 2020 a RFP to find our new Partners able to support our international growth and aligned with our customer centric DNA. We selected I-surance & Cardif for all european countries & Asurion for the US. We will launch our new offer in March 2021.

  • Launch our new breakage & theft insurance in all our core countries, enrich the offer to improve our repeat rate & the loyalty and cover all our products ranges
  • Manage our Brokers in Europe & the US
  • Build & monitor all our Strategic KPIs from adoption to revenue and quality
  • Own & monitor your P&L
  • Develop the range of B2B insurances related to our needs such as warranty extension, purchase, delivery,...
  • Embody the Insurance Service and manage all the services governance internally & externally with our brokers partners to ensure operational excellence
  • Work closely with transversal teams to promote & prioritize your service internally

Preferred Experience

  • You have graduated from an Engineering or Business School
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in Management Consulting or as a Project Manager in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have experience within the affinity insurance market. Experience in a consumer fintech or insurtech is a plus.
  • You have proven track of record negotiating and contracting with partners.
  • You have strong analytical skills.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication, track record of successful presentation to Senior Leadership, leading to high impact
  • Outstanding influencing skill: track record of working successfully with multiple functions and to align with diverse teams on a common goal.
