Job Description

The goal of the Business Development team is to grow the supply of products on our site. We do this by bringing new sellers onto the platform and by growing the business of existing sellers.

As a Sales Operations Associate, your #1 goal will be to grow sellers' business on Back Market. You will be responsible for developing a B2B account management strategy for a large seller pool and implementing it.

This role includes Account Manager-like responsibilities. You will be interacting with sellers on a day to day basis. However, you will also be responsible for relationships with service providers and aiding in catalog management.

Your duties will include (but not be limited to):**

  • Account Management: developing a strategy to handle large volumes of sellers, working towards increasing their revenue on the platform without lowering their satisfaction or engagement on Back Market
  • Communication: draft and manage the communication schedule for US sellers, including newsletters and product updates; as well as, answering day-to-day seller questions
  • Coordination: work with the Global Business Development team on overall seller management and share best practices
  • Optimization: fine-tuning tools and processes to increase sellers satisfaction Listings Management: ensuring the accuracy of sellers’ listings on the platform

Preferred Experience

  • An analytical mind - You love numbers and data, it’s your happy place. You are able to look at a dashboard, quickly analyze what you see, and know exactly what needs to be done.
  • Excellent communication - You are a great communicator, both verbally and in writing. This role is mainly email-based, but you shouldn’t be afraid of getting on the phone. You should be able to clearly and concisely get complex points across. You are able to read people and build long-lasting relationships.
  • Attention to detail - You enjoy getting into the nitty-gritty; “spot the difference” is your favorite game.
  • Time management - You have a good sense of priorities and organization. You excel at managing projects and your time.
  • Bold personality- You are not afraid to speak your mind. If you see a problem, you are not shy to let others know. You have no qualms about making sure your projects are prioritized.
  • “Can do” attitude - You do not just have the will to let yourself be heard, you also have the drive to immediately jump on any problem you find. You must be able to push through, even when the path ahead looks difficult.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - You are an open-minded team player and always eager to exceed expectations. You love rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. You are hands-on and independent in a demanding change-oriented environment.
  • Passion for learning - You continually want to grow and are eager to learn.
  • Experience - 1-2 years of relevant experience is a plus.
