    Within the Product Department, we have a massive opportunity to rethink the way our financial stack works.

     From enabling the business (both on customers and sellers sides) to scale our product and industrialize a lot of processes, we are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own, define and develop the Back Market financial experience. 

    Starting with one feature team, you will grow the scope to reach the ambitions of Back Market: the scope is expected to represent up to 3 feature teams in +18-months covering the core part of our financial stack (Money Ledger), the invoicing features (Sellers and Customers Services Invoicing) and the internal tooling/automation (Accounting Tool).

    The scope of this role is very broad, with high visibility and complete autonomy on the scope. It requires a blend of technical & functional expertise, data fluency, user understanding, and financial acumen.

    YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🥇

  • Develop the best financial experience: from reconciliation (payin and payout) to business features (Swap, FX Change Management, Business Lending…), in 16 operating countries.
  • Build and monitor our key performance indicators, define targets.
  • Work hand in hand with your engineering counterpart to make sure we have reliable and ambitious roadmaps, with the expected level of delivery quality.
  • Draft the financial Product Vision of Back Market: driving change in both customers and sellers habits towards circular economy, partnering with many stakeholders and in particular the Finance Team (FP&A, Accounting, BI Finance, Tax, Payment).
  • Animate and participate in the life of the Product Team, help define the best ways of working, manage dependencies.

  • You have a strong PM experience working on financial/data related issues - bonus points if you already have experience in the marketplace and/or fintech sectors.
  • You are able to shape product discovery and delivery according to lean/agile principles - bonus points if you are comfortable to handle large datasets (by using Excel, SQL etc).
  • You can couple your strong business sense with a broad understanding of methodologies related to payment lifecycle (authorization, capture, settlement, refund, cancel etc;) and financial topics (tax regulations for marketplaces, reconciliation of transactions vs. reconciliation of balances, double-entry bookkeeping system).
  • You are able to bring clarity to engineers and stakeholders about complex topics.
  • You are a team player, and know how to use soft power to embark people with you. 
  • You are able to provide sharp and engaging communication to all levels of stakeholders, including the top management
