The Supply Team’s mission is to bring to Backmarket.com the best refurbished devices that people want, at a good price and with a level of quality which is as good as new.

To deliver this mission, the Supply Team has three main objectives:

- Chasing and acquiring new merchants, with talented Business Developers (BDs)

- Onboarding new merchants and guiding them throughout our platform and quality requirements, with great Onboarding Manager (OBs)

- Helping merchants maximize their revenue while meeting our quality standards, with amazing Seller Success Managers (SSMs)

The Supply Operations Team is here to drive operational excellence by providing insights, tools, processes, and projects to help BDs, OBs, and SSM focus on high value tasks and meet their quality and sales targets.

As a key member of the Global Supply Operations Team, you will be in charge of Supply Operations Projects. 

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT) 🥇

Own Supply Operations Projects : prioritizing, designing and launching projects for Supply teams across Europe, Asia and Global Accounts

Lead Finance-related projects to drive Supply towards profitability

  • Prioritizing projects based on their business value/ feasibility and aligning stakeholders from Supply, Finance & Legal, and other Operations teams
  • Defining and setting up profitability KPIs to measure the impact of Supply teams on Back Market’s overall P&L (e.g., margin from the sale of services, debt generated by merchants, overall merchant P&L)
  • Building and implementing tools, services and processes related to merchant financials in collaboration with the Finance and Product teams (e.g., financing solutions for merchants to optimize their cash flows, processes to request refunds from merchants) 
  • Lead tech and non-tech projects to continuously improve Merchants’ experience on Back Market:

  • Identifying the highest priority projects to solve pain points from Supply teams and Merchants, by interviewing internal stakeholders and benchmarking industry best practices
  • Being the main point of contact between Supply and Product/ Tech teams
  • Building projects from the ground up - from the ideation phase up to full implementation and roll-out within the Supply teams 
  • Work closely with the other Supply Operations teams and Supply teams globally to roll-out the projects and ensure they are in phase with BDs, OBs and SSMs’ ways of working

    YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF YOU: ⭐

  • You have at least 3-4 years of experience as a consultant or as a project/ operations manager
  • You have experience working in a startup hyper growth environment
  • You are autonomous, organized and structured
  • You have strong analytical skills, with proven ability to work with data
  • You have an excellent business sense and skills for transversal management
  • You thrive in a dynamic, challenging, fast-paced work environment
  • You are fluent in English (note that other languages are appreciated : French, Spanish, German, Italian)Ideally, you have a previous experience in the e-commerce business
