Job Description

The Business Development department at Back Market is in charge of sourcing the offer available on our platforms in Europe and the US by recruiting and managing relationship with merchants worldwide.
We offer our merchants logistics services (transport & fulfillment) to let them access our markets in Europe (France, Belgium, Germany, Spain and Italy – many more to come) and the US and to benefit from our amazing growth. It also guarantees our final clients an amazing delivery experience. As we keep on expanding internationally, we are speeding up on those logistics and transport activities and thus are looking for a talented Transportation&Logistics manager.

YOUR MISSION (if you accept it):
You will be in charge of launching new logistics services and scaling the current ones improving their operational performances, supporting the Back Market international growth. It includes those exciting tasks:

  • Handle project management and operational coordination (with our IT, Finance, Legal, Quality and and BD teams);
  • Identify and negotiate with potential partners (load specifications, tenders, tariffs);
  • Define go-to-market strategy and execute fast launch;
  • Handle P&L and control logistics budget;
  • Steer and follow-up partners’ performance;
  • Scale the current services, increasing their adoption at seller’s;
  • Manage our Transport Management assistant.

Preferred Experience

  • You are a graduate from Top Engineering or Business School in your country;
  • You have a 3 years minimum experience in Fulfillment / Transportation / Logistics, ideally at a retailer’s;
  • You are fluent in English and French, you are used to work in an international environment;
  • You already have experience in negotiation with couriers and logistics companies, and excellent business sense;
  • You are autonomous, able to prioritize, initiative-driven, doer, scaler;
  • You possess strong analytical skills, and you’re driven by data, data, and only data.
